Direct Current Stimulation

This is the use of an electrical current with a continuous unidirectional flow of charged ion particles commonly used for stimulating a contraction in denervated muscles and can also be used for edema management and tissue healing. In order to help prevent nerve and muscular atrophy from occurring we have to stimulate the nerve and muscle by using a direct current over the motor point which is where the muscle and the nerve connections to each other.
